Time keeps ticking by
As I try to make sense of these times
I was born into this world
But I hear that it ain’t mine

Except the tales the liars tell

They love to teach false history
The truths of today are hidden

Free our minds from mental slavery

What’s the liberty to be different
When the differences divide us
Different colors of the same type
Yet, some shades aren’t good enough

Oh, it makes my heart heavy
But when I pray, my soul is light
I hope my mind stays sharp & steady
To perservere through this fight
