Say You Love Me

“Opening up your soul to someone, letting them into your spirit, thoughts, fears, future, hopes, dreams… That is being naked.” ~ Rob Bell”

These Words On Love and Loss

These words are not the tears of a heart that has been broken too many times.

These words are not full of pain and hate, or regret for loving someone too much.

Neither are they a cry to turn back the time and have a love that was loss back in my arms again.

Maybe once before, these words were all those things. But now I see these words as only:

A sweet story,

A dedication to memories and lessons learned,

A journey through my mind,

A map of my heart and its hidden places.

These words remind me of all the things that have faded but will forever remain beautiful.

They remind me of how loss can paint a picture just as beautiful and brilliant as love.

I once believed I was cursed to live with a big heart, but through time I have learned had I never loved so much and experienced loss,

I would have never had the chance to know the miracle that is the resiliency of the human heart.

The undying determination of a broken heart taught me the greatest lesson of all.

It has shown me that there is beauty in everything.

Even in things as unfortunate as heartbreak.
