Say You Love Me

“Opening up your soul to someone, letting them into your spirit, thoughts, fears, future, hopes, dreams… That is being naked.” ~ Rob Bell”

Empty Words

Don’t send them your love or fake sympathy. Don’t send them flowers they can’t smell once there’s a tragedy. Don’t repeat the generic lines that every other stranger does. Don’t write the posts about the friendship that never was. Don’t tell us stories about being around when life got tough. Don’t tell us about their fears because you weren’t there enough. I wonder why do we sing each other’s praises only when we have parted ways? Why don’t we have time for each other until one of us has a death date? And why are the strangers with flowers never honest enough to speak the truth? Why do we leave this earth with friends we never knew?

About Me

– I am an ancient soul, in a modern body, with a futuristic state of mind.

“Learning from experiences is one of the ways in which we decide if experience may frighten us, weaken us or make us self-doubt, but it may also make us stronger. Sankofa teaches there are valuable lessons to be learned from the past.”
