1. I’m naturally an introvert, sometimes I can be outgoing because I love good company. Self-isolation isn’t what I thought it would be. It’s different when you’re forced to stay home and even the extroverts are becoming introverts. Tv and movies all day for most. I’ve had most people in my proximity tell me they’re lonely but more than anything they just want intimacy or sex, not company, a board game, a conversation, or someone to check in on them. I get it but it’s also sad. They’re not asking for real relationships, only relations. Makes sense but it feels gross and it’s frustrating. Why don’t people want something deeper?
2. I’ve watched half of Netflix and Hulu. The Tiger King is a hot mess but I understand wanting to entertain ourselves. Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.
3. I finished the James Baldwin Biography and a whole book of poetry by Charles Bukowski. It put a lot on my mind. Great writers and thinkers.
4. I think too much. So much to do and who knows how much time.
5. Things are gonna be alright but I don’t know when. Just keep swimming, if you know how. Lol
6. I walk 3 to 5 miles a day to clear my mind. Sometimes it’s lonely and sometimes it’s freeing. Some days are easier than others.
7. I have a birthday coming up in 4 days. No party or cake. It wouldn’t hurt to make my own and celebrate myself. I’ve never really made a big deal about my birthday, although I’m always happy to see another year.
